The Golden Eagle Theatre Department presents: A Cover of Life by R. T Robinson Thursday May 8th at 7pm and Friday May 9th at 7pm. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general admission. Viewed for mature audiences
Synopsis: This is a drama that tells the story of three young wives living in rural Louisiana during World War II, each married to a Cliffert brother. When the brothers enlist in the war, the wives are left at home, and a local news story about them catches the attention of Henry Luce, the editor of Life Magazine. Luce assigns a reporter, Kate Miller, to write a cover story, and Kate spends a week with the Cliffert women, changing her perspective and challenging her own vulnerabilities. The play explores themes of loyalty, self-worth, and the complexities of women's lives in a male-dominated world.
