Football playoffs continue for three CFISD teams

Nov. 14, 2015—Three CFISD football teams won their Region III-6A bi-district playoff games to advance to the area playoffs next week.

In the Division II bracket, Cypress Ranch High School defeated Memorial, 44-13, on Nov. 13 at the Berry Center. The Mustangs advance to meet Katy on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Tully Stadium (1050 N. Dairy Ashford Road).

Cypress Creek High School beat Aldine Davis, 34-32, on Nov. 13 at Thorne Stadium. The Cougars will meet Strake Jesuit on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Crusader Stadium (8900 Bellaire Blvd.).

In the Division I bracket, Cypress Falls High School defeated Nimitz, 72-6, on Nov. 14 at the Berry Center. The Golden Eagles will meet Bellaire on Nov. 21 at 1p.m. at TDECU Stadium on the University of Houston campus.

Presale tickets for all three playoff games will be sold at the schools, at the CFISD athletic office in the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road, Entrance 2) and online ( beginning Monday at 8 a.m. Online ticket sales will take place until three hours before game time.

In other Division I playoff action, the Cy-Fair High School Bobcats were eliminated in a 36-28 loss to Aldine Eisenhower on Nov. 14 at Thorne Stadium. The Bobcats ended the year as third-place finishers in District 17-6A and Region III-6A bi-district finalists.
